Oi familia e amigos! Tudo bem? Let me tell you, this week went by wayyy faster than last week. I can't believe it's pday already but it's good! This week was filled with some good gospel discussions because Sister Christensen decided we should just ask our teacher questions about deep stuff right n the middle of class which has made it so much more interesting and fun!
The Portuguese is coming along slowly but surely! We have our first practice teaching lesson tomorrow in Portuguese which should be interesting but it should be good.
To explain the subject, this week we found out that they changed the other hall on our floor to boys but didn't tell us or put any signs. So one day, our bathroom was closed so I went over there to use thr bathroom on that side, which is an actual women's restroom while the one we use is a men's. Anyways, I walked in and noticed that all the seats were up and figured put what that meant. Luckily nobody was in there
that could've been awkward but yeah now we know haha!
that could've been awkward but yeah now we know haha! This week we had our first rainy day here which was not super awesome because we couldn't do physical activity outside, but when we do have it we end up playng volleyball as a district which s good or basketball where I usually get really embarrassed at my lack of ability to shoot in a game. Still fun though and Sister Christesen and I make good use of the really small track.
Spiritual thought: One scripture I read this week was in Mosiah 2:19. "And behold also, if I, whom ye call your king, who has spent his days i your service, and yet has been in the servce of God, do merit any thanks from you, O how you ought to thank your heavenly King!" This just stuck out as a reminder to me of everything I have to be grateful for and that God is the one who I sould be expontentially grateful to. This week, we got several new missionaries from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and it is just so cool to see how they are always happy and smiling and enjoy so much about the CTM and are just videoing everything because it is so cool to them! That is something I am working on, just being grateful for everything. As I am more conscious of being grateful for things (I do say thank you a lot because obrgigada is one of the few words I know well) I realize how blessed my life truly is. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and all that it has taught me and for the opportunity I have to be a missionary and learn here at the CTM. It really is a privilege and I know it is makng me better already! Love and miss you all!
Tchau tchau,
Sister Howard
