Oi família e amigos! There's not a whole lot to share yet because this first week was all online training! I had about 8 hours of zoom classes everyday, which actually sounds a lot worse than it was. I've been learning a lot about Portuguese and teaching.
Me and Sister Christensen (my companion who is super awesome) had our first pretend teaching experience this week! I thought we did pretty well for our first time and we just shared a quick message about how God and Jesus Christ can bring peace to our lives and I could definitely feel the Spirit!
This week, we were studying the blessings that come from being a missionary and there's a super cool part at the very end of every mission call letter that is pretty easy to miss because it comes right after the exciting part of where you are serving. But, it says, "Our Heavenly Father will reward you for the goodness of your life. Greater blessings and more joy than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve the Lord in this labor of love among His children." I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a missionary and experience more joy than I ever have!
The hardest part for me so far has probably been waking up at 6:30 haha! But I know blessings will come from doing so!
On Wednesday I will be flying to the Missionary Training Center in Brasil, so next time you hear from me I'll be in Brasil!
